What can the Stats tell me?
StatCounter.com provides
us with a lifetime count of the total number of visitors to
our website each day. It allows us to run reports since the
day we started the project (07-01-07)! After a few months of
tracking, it will be possible to look back and to see the daily,
weekly and monthly trends of our visitors. We can then monitor
where the main usage of the site lies and whether the usage
is increasing, decreasing or stagnant.
How do the Stats work?
Our site (through the help of StatCounter.com)
is able to determine whether a visitor has been to our website
before by using a cookie. So if a user has cookies disabled
we have no way of knowing if they are unique or not, and we
will by default consider them to be unique. This will therefore
have a slight effect on the data we display. However, the majority
of visitors have cookies enabled.
