As you received
Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him.
Plans are well
in hand for the Church Anniversary weekend on
6th and 7th September – we hope to have
a history of the church published in time for
the weekend and also to be able to have an exhibition
of photographs and other
memorabilia reflecting something of the history
of the church. In connection with this we would
ask all friends to look back through old photograph
albums to see if you have photographs of the
church or events at the church which you could
lend to be displayed in the exhibition. We are
planning to serve cream teas in the church hall
on the Saturday afternoon and hold a Celebration
Evening in words and music on the Saturday,
which will use the talent God has given us in
the church to mark the anniversary – Brian
Edwards will close the evening with an evangelistic
message. This would be a good opportunity to
invite unconverted friends to join us for the
evening. On the Sunday the service will include
testimonies and other contributions to reflect
something of the life of the church as well
as Brian Edwards bringing the Word of God. If
you have not already been asked and would like
to participate in the
‘celebration’ evening, either with
a narration/poem or musically – do you
have a favourite Chorus from your childhood
(maybe an action one!) please see Gloria for
details. Any photographs or other items for
the exhibition should be handed to Keith Earles.
